Happy Holidays! From John! From Susan! From Myles! From Kubla! From Bobby! And this year, Season's Greetings from the ever-smiling Tiffany Rosamond Creed, the newest member of the Andrews / Creed family!
Tiffany was born early on a Sunday afternoon on December 16, 1990, in Fairbanks, Alaska, weighing in at a lean six pounds, zero ounces.
"She's still a petite little doll baby," said Susan. "We love her so much. She is the nicest little Christmas present anyone could ever ask for."
Tiffany's arrival during last year's holiday season, however, did not come exactly (ahem) as planned. In fact, this brilliantly blue-eyed, strawberry-blond wonder checked out of the womb some three-and-a-half-weeks early, much to her parents' astonishment.
Off to Fairbanks
Luckily, though, John and Susan, who live in Kotzebue, an Inupiaq Eskimo community 30 miles inside the Arctic Circle and about 175 miles east of the Soviet Far East, had decided to fly a few weeks before Susan's due date to Fairbanks, a far safer place to have a baby than Kotzebue.
All though her pregnancy, Susan had expressed great delight that Mother Nature had timed Tiffany's arrival perfectly to come right between semester. (Both John and Susan teach for the University of Alaska.)
